Fighting for Child Custody.

Your total commitment is to win custody of your minor children.  Everything that you have been doing or thinking has lead up to your court appearance(s) to make that determination.  Did you know that even the way you dress in front of a family court judge could be a deciding factor in how much time you will be spending with your kids in the years to come?

Here are some things to do before you walk into court –

1.  Show willingness to work with your ex.
2.  Request an in-home evaluation.
3.  Always be aware that perception IS reality.
4.  Prepare any and all documents.
5.  Work with an experienced attorney.

As to that final point, if you live in Baltimore County contact Briana Arnold right away.  She is an experienced child custody lawyer serving the Baltimore area.  You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by sitting down at her office located at 1777 Reisterstown Road.  Call to arrange an appointment at (410) 484-1400.

Marriage to a Non-US Citizen.

If you are a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and already married to a non-U.S. citizen, you may petition for a Green Card (immigration) for your husband or wife.  That seems logical.  Now, what about if you are engaged?  How do you help your fiancé become a permanent resident of this country?

One way would be to apply for a fiancé visa if your future spouse currently lives overseas.  This visa lets your fiancé enter the United States for 90 days so that your marriage ceremony can take place in the United States.  Once you marry, your spouse can apply for permanent residence and remain in the US.

These and many other questions involving immigration may be answered by attorney Briana Arnold.  She is a noted Baltimore immigration lawyer who will help you through whatever process in which you are involved.  These are ever-changing times.  Arrange for a meeting with Briana Arnold at her 1777 Reisterstown office by calling (410) 484-1400.

Abandoning Your Citizenship.

If you or a loved one are a green card holder and you leave the United States and then wish to return, your trip must be for a temporary visit, not because your "real" home is elsewhere. Making your home in another country even for a short time can lead to the conclusion that you have "abandoned" your U.S. residence.

Excessive travel abroad can and will adversely affect eligibility. Excessive travel can include one long trip or the accumulation of several trips over the period that precedes your admission as a U.S. citizen.  Continuous residence means that the applicant has maintained residence within the United States for a specified period of time.

To learn more about the ins and outs of “abandoning” your citizenship you should seek the counsel of Baltimore area immigration attorney Briana Arnold.  Attorney Arnold has successfully helped many people overcome denials based on alleged abandonment of citizenship.  Please call (410) 484-1400 and make an appointment at her Baltimore office.

Forms, Forms, and more Forms.

Filing for divorce in the state of Maryland does not have to be any more complicated with the proper assistance.  These times are stressful enough without adding research and form-filling to the mix.  One could go to the proper website (if they are sure which is the best) and begin downloading forms.

On these aforementioned forms there are lines to fill out and boxes to check.  If you do it incorrectly you will probably have to start the process all over.  For example, the Complaint for Absolute Divorce is a five-page document that needs to be filled out to begin that particular process and on it goes from there.

Why not remove a great deal of the stress by calling Baltimore County female divorce attorney Briana Arnold.  Attorney Arnold knows Maryland family law inside and out and will guide you around the potholes of this rocky road.  Briana Arnold is just a phone call away.  Come in for a free family law consultation at her 1777 Reisterstown office.  That’s (410) 484-1400.
